I painted as a young woman and came into some money in the 70s, which I spent on painting lessons. My teacher was Barbara Politi. In a year or 2 something got in the way and I quit. I think it was that we moved and I didn't have room for a studio. And my cats liked to walk on the palette. The first photo was done before any lessons, in my 20s. I was Vicki Smith then. Some of the other paintings are from class with Barbara and some I did on my own.
I loved studying with Barbara Politi. Several of the above were from still lifes that she set up for her students. One of the daffodils hangs in my friend Bobbie's house. The rest I still own.
